Portugal's Honorary Consulate in Bergen

An Honorary Consul could be a Portuguese or otherwise, residing in the country and location of his Consulate's operation. They're nominated by the Foreign Affairs Ministry to champion and safeguard the Portuguese State's rights and interests in a city where there's no official representation. Usually, Honorary Consulates are not authorized to conduct consular acts. However, under unique and justified circumstances, they may be permitted to handle voter registration operations, civil registration, notary acts, and issue travel documents. The Honorary Consuls operate within their jurisdiction, in sync with the Head of the Mission to which they're attached.
